Apple Health is the central health data hub on every iPhone. It collects data from your Apple Watch, smart scales, sleep trackers, workout apps, and dozens of other sources — creating the most comprehensive health profile on any mobile platform.
Guthly integrates with Apple Health bidirectionally. That means Guthly reads your health data from every connected source and also writes Guthly workouts, nutrition logs, and habit data back to Apple Health. It's a true two-way street.
This makes Apple Health + Guthly the ultimate iOS health stack. Your biometric data, workout history, nutrition, habits, and wellness goals all live together — analyzed by Guthly's AI to give you insights no single app can provide alone.

How to Connect
Set up bidirectional sync in under a minute.
Download Guthly on iOS
Install Guthly from the App Store on your iPhone. Apple Health integration is available exclusively on iOS.
Open Health Permissions
When prompted (or via Settings > Integrations > Apple Health), Guthly will request access to read and write specific HealthKit data categories.
Grant Read & Write Access
Review and enable the data types you want to share. You have full control — toggle individual categories on or off at any time.
Bidirectional Sync Begins
Guthly immediately starts reading your Apple Health data and writing back Guthly data. Everything stays in sync in real time on your device.
What You Can Do
The best of both worlds: Apple's ecosystem meets Guthly's intelligence.
Central Health Hub
Apple Health aggregates data from every app and device you use. By connecting Guthly, you get one place to view, analyze, and act on data from your Apple Watch, smart scale, sleep tracker, and more — all enriched with Guthly's AI insights.
Cross-App Workout Visibility
Did a Peloton ride? Ran with Nike Run Club? Apple Health captures it, and Guthly pulls it in. Your complete workout history lives in Guthly regardless of which app you used to record it.
Nutrition Meets Biometrics
Guthly's nutrition tracking combined with Apple Health's heart rate and activity data lets you see how your diet affects your energy, recovery, and performance over time.
Unified Habit + Health Tracking
Build habits in Guthly and validate them with Apple Health data. A "10,000 steps" habit can auto-complete based on your actual step count. A "sleep 7+ hours" habit checks itself using Apple Watch sleep data.
Share Guthly Data with Your Doctor
Because Guthly writes workouts and nutrition to Apple Health, your healthcare provider can see a complete picture of your activity and dietary habits through Apple Health's medical records integration.
Pro Tips
Get the most out of Apple Health + Guthly.
Enable All Read Categories
The more data Guthly can read from Apple Health, the richer its AI analysis. Enable all categories during setup — you can always adjust later in iOS Settings > Health > Guthly.
Use Apple Watch for Auto-Tracking
If you have an Apple Watch, all your move, exercise, and stand data flows through Apple Health to Guthly automatically. Pair it with Guthly's habit tracking for hands-free progress.
Avoid Duplicate Logging
Since Guthly writes workouts to Apple Health and reads from it, don't log the same workout in both Guthly and another HealthKit app. Guthly handles deduplication, but keeping it clean is best.
Check Privacy Settings Regularly
Apple gives you granular control over health data sharing. Periodically review iOS Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > Guthly to make sure everything is configured how you want.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Apple Health integration available on Android?
No. Apple Health (HealthKit) is exclusive to iOS. If you use Android, Guthly offers direct integrations with Google Fit, Samsung Health, Garmin, Fitbit, and other platforms that work on Android devices.
What does "bidirectional sync" mean?
It means Guthly both reads from and writes to Apple Health. Guthly reads your steps, heart rate, sleep, and workouts from other apps, and writes back your Guthly-logged workouts, nutrition data, and health-related habit completions. Data flows both ways.
Will Guthly duplicate my data in Apple Health?
No. Guthly uses Apple's built-in deduplication system. When writing data, Guthly tags it with a unique source identifier. Apple Health knows how to merge data from multiple sources without double-counting.
Can I choose which data Guthly can access?
Absolutely. Apple's HealthKit permission system is fully granular. You can enable or disable individual data types (steps, heart rate, sleep, nutrition, etc.) independently for both read and write access at any time.
Does Guthly send my Apple Health data to the cloud?
Guthly processes Apple Health data on your device for local analysis. Only aggregated insights and data you explicitly choose to sync are stored in Guthly's cloud. Raw HealthKit data never leaves your iPhone without your knowledge.
